  • NEW LOOK HFV MAGAZINE
    We hope you appreciate our new look HFV newsletter or 'magazine'. We have tried to improve the quality of the magazine and include more relevant and interesting articles for our members. We are always eager to receive feedback from our members, so please contact us at info@hfv.org.au.
    The HFV magazines have been archived (visit Membership). You can receive a copy of the current issue by becoming a member of HFV.

  • LIVING WELL FUNDING
    Living Well Funding is open to all current financial members who can apply for funding for any activity or one off item that will assist in the management of their conditions such as mobility support aids, meditation, massage etc. Applications need to be in writing to HFV via the Living Well Funding application form, available on line and from the HFV office.


  • *PLEASE NOTE THAT AN ARTICLE IN THE MAY 2010 EDITION OF THE HFV NEWSLETTER ON ARTHRITIS INJECTIONS IS RELATED TO RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS AND NOT RELATED TO THE VICTORIAN HAEMOPHILIA COMMUNITY. FOR THE HAEMOPHILIA PATIENTS THAT DO REQUIRE INTRA ARTICULAR INJECTIONS, IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE INJECTIONS ARE FREE OF CHARGE AT THE VICTORIAN HAEMOPHILIA CENTRES. IT IS A PROCEDURE THAT IS NOT SUITABLE TO HAVE DONE IN GP ROOMS IF YOU HAVE HAEMOPHILIA.

  • GRANDPARENT'S LUNCH
    12.00 Sunday 29th August at Renzo's Bar, Docklands.
    HFV recognizes the role that wonderful grandparents and other extended family members of our bleeding disorder community play, especially for the kids. We invite you to get together and talk about the many rewards and challenges of having a family member with a bleeding disorder, or you may simply come along to meet and chat with others in a very friendly and supportive environment

  • HFV LADIES' DAY Pottery Workshop followed by lunch at Mezza Lebanese Grill.
    Saturday 2nd October 2010, 9.50am.

  • HAEMOPHILIA AWARENESS WEEK
    Commences on Sunday 10th October 2010 - 16th October - The theme is LIFE CHALLENGES - The Real Issues
    We are always looking for opportunities to promote haemophilia and other bleeding disorders awaremess so if you can help with a stand in your workplace, school or library, a morning tea or sausauge sizzle or develop your own idea for another time of year.
    To receive promotional material such as posters, balloons, stickers, colouring in sheets, temporary tattoos, posters and information brochures, contact the office on 9555 7595 or Haemophilia Foundation Australia on 1800 807 173 ASAP as limited promotional products are available.

  • HFV CHRISTMAS LUNCH
    Thursday 9th November at 12pm.
    We are booked in again this year for Christmas lunch at Hemisphere on South Road, Moorabbin. Bookings are essential through the office.

  • BOYS’ TOYS FISHING TRIP
    SUNDAY 7th November 2010, 11am
    Melbourne Fishing Charters,
    St Kilda Public Pier

    BOYS, grab your father, grandfather, uncle, big brother, for a fantastic fishing trip.

    Includes: 4 hour cruise on the ‘Bella Sandro’ 38ft vessel, run by professional skipper and host, lunch on board, Fishing Licence, all gear & bait. Trip returns at about 3.30pm. Please note boys under age 7 cannot board the boat, and vessel is unsuitable for wheelchairs and some physical disabilities.

    For all this you pay HFV only $10 per head adults, and $5 per head for kids

  • BUSH CHRISTMAS!
    HFV CHRISTMAS PICNIC AT GUMBUYA PARK
    SUNDAY 28th NOVEMBER 2010, 11AM

    Attractions: natural bushland, toboggan slide, water slide, twister karts, mini cars, paddle boats, mini golf, native animal zoo (kangaroos, dingoes, wombats) and emus, native and exotic birds!

    Join in a fantastic day out, and catch up with others from our community!

    Cost to you: FREE! HFV will pay your entrance fees, private BBQ area, and of course a visit by Santa to get some lollies! (Parents note: no presents).

  • 2010 FAMILY CAMP
    The HFV 2010 Family Camp will be held at the Portsea Camp - right on the beach. Friday 19th March - Sunday 21st March, 2010. Bookings are essential and completed registration forms need to be received by Thursday 25th February 2010.

  • HFV 2010 Teacher's Seminar
    The 2010 HFV Teacher's Seminar will be held in February 2010 - Please refer to our online flyer below.

  • HFV Christmas on Safari picnic was held on Sunday 29th November 2009 at Werribee Open Range Zoo. We all had a wonderful time and all the kids really appreciated the visit from Santa. Thanks to all the families who joined us for this special event.

  • HFV SECRET MEN'S BUSINESS- Marty & Paul recently hosted some Men's Group social get-togethers at a pub in North Melbourne.
