HFV has access to local and overseas literature and has a wide range of books and audio-visual material for loan to members. Publications cover topics such as: haemophilia, pain relief, diet and exercise, blood borne viruses, alternative therapies and children’s books.

The Royal Children's Hospital run an annual Teacher Seminar on Haemophilia, with the support of HFV. In 2021 this was conducted online. The session was recorded and you are able to view the video by clicking on the link below.

INFORMATION For Parents ON HAEMOPHILIA

An information kit for newly diagnosed families is available from HFV, as well as general information booklets for parents. A full range of publications is available for download from Haemophilia Foundation Australia’s website at www.haemophilia.org.au

These kits are available from the HFV office and can be posted to you.

Haemophilia Foundation Victoria is committed to child safety.

We have zero tolerance of child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously and consistently with our robust policies and procedures.
We have legal and moral obligations to contact authorities when we are worried about a child’s safety, which we follow rigorously.
Our organisation is committed to preventing child abuse and identifying risks early, and removing and reducing these risks.
Our organisation has robust human resources and recruitment practices for all staff and volunteers.
Our organisation is committed to regularly training and educating our staff and volunteers on child abuse risks.
We support and respect all children, as well as our staff and volunteers. We are committed to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children, the cultural safety of children from a culturally and/or linguistically diverse background, and to providing a safe environment for children with a disability.
We have specific policies, procedures and training in place that support our leadership team, staff and volunteers to achieve these commitments.
